A little more
about names.

What is an .arc name?

A human-readable name registered on Arc mainnet. It points to a wallet address and can hold profile records. Apps need to integrate Arc names to resolve it.

How much does a name cost?

Annual registration is 5 USDC for names with 5 or more characters, 25 USDC for 4 characters, and 100 USDC for 3 characters. Network fees are separate. The registration screen reads the exact price from the deployed contract.

Can I use an .arc name in every wallet?

Not yet. A wallet or app must support the Arc names registry. An .arc name is separate from Ethereum ENS and is not a traditional web domain.

What happens when my name expires?

Resolution stops at expiry. You have a 90-day grace period to renew before someone else can register the name. Anyone can pay for a renewal.
